Funnel cap was not included. It made the installation a small messier than I would have liked using an open funnel.

This thing really works. My cartridge really did have an opening for refiling and there was no need to drill any holes in it.

Simple, simple to follow instructions…although an simpler way of making a hole through the cartridge is by using a half inch diameter drill bit. Place the cartrdige face down, side where drilling (using a clamping device and edge of table to hold it in place). Drill the designated spot by letting the drill bit do its work and not forcing it. This should prevent any plastic scraps entering the cartridge bay. Then fill with toner and use duct tape to cover the drilled spot and shake cartridge as instructed to spread the ink evenly.
This is a much cheaper solution than buying a groundbreaking new cartridge and toner at Office Depot or Staples.

If you are careful enough to pour the toner slowly, it won’t get messy. Instructions are very clear and please read them all before starting.
I’m not sure how many times you can refill a toner cartridge, I guess I’ll find out sometime in the future. The cartridge for the ML-1740 is really simple to refill.
My other printer is a ML-1610, which takes a couple of screws and a cap, but it’s not rocket science.
