I bought this item from this vendor because Verbatim is a known quantity and I wanted a compatible toner-NEW, not reconditioned. What I received was NOT Verbatim (no indication on the toner cartridge of any brand name) and it was RECONDITIONED, not new. So BUYER BEWARE. I should have called vendor and/or Amazon as soon as I received the product, but inertia set in and so far 2 months into light use it is working ok-down the road, who knows. I suggest if you encounter the same problem, i.e., product sent is not the product advertised and shipped,Call them on it/alert Amazon-Fake ADVERTISING!

The product page suggests that this is a Verbatim name brand toner cartridge, but what I received was a generic refurbished cartridge, as stated by the other reviewer. This would fine except that it also caused my printer to print large unsightly streaks on all of my printouts — not exactly helpful for printing resumes, wedding invitations marks, etc. I guess I’ll have to buy that $80 official Samsung toner now.

I am satisfied with this seller. Excellent service, quick delivery. Will buy from them if I have another chance. The compatible ink toner of Verbatim can only be used in printing text, not image: it produces horizontal lines on solid color areas. But it’s Verbatim’s fault, not this seller.

Update: Ok. So they sent me another cartridge straight away without any questions. Brilliant customer service. It turns out that there was a bit of paper stuck in my printer and the issue was all me ! The toner works fantastic. I will be contacting them to pay for the other one they sent me. It has been a long time that a company backs up their product like this when the issue was mine all along. I appreciate the fact that they gave me the benefit of the doubt. I would highly recommend them. At these prices, and with this customer service, I could care less what the brand on the outside of the box says.

Right out of the box the item didn’t work with my Samsung 1710. It looks just like the original toner cartridge but it simply gave me a line error after I installed it. There was no number to call for customer support and the instructions simply point you to Amazon if you have any issues. If I get any response from Verbatim I will update this review. Otherwise you might want to avoid it. The price is tempting but for me it wasn’t worth it.
Update: I sent them an email via Amazon.com and they responded immediately. They will replace or refund. I elected to replace. Hopefully this will work and I will change my rating. At least their customer service was professional. Will update soon.
