The HP Laser Jet 49X cartridges cost more than the 49A but last a lot

These high capacity cartridges print an unbelievable number of pages. I have tried “generic” cartridges and the results have always been unsatisfactory. This HP cartridge is the “real deal” and at a price far below the delivered price from HP.

Despite the nice photo, what I received was an “HP-Compatible” cartridge, not an actual cartridge manufactured by HP.

Fantastic bargain like so many other Amazon products. But, as always, do your homework by checking around. Automatically, I save 7.75% by not paying a sales tax. In addition, the prices are nearly always (but not really less) and coupled with no shipping….it’s hard to beat the price at Amazon!

I like my hp1320, but had a rude awakening with toner cartridges.

Save some bucks and get only the 49X.

The “X” means EXTRA pages printed and EXTRA money in your pocket.

I believe the HP1320 printers all ship with a 49A as a starter

cartridge.

The 49A cartridge gives you about 2,500 pages of print.

The 49X gives you about 6,000 page of print, for ONLY a few dollars more in price!

Based on today’s prices,

The 49A costs about 33.5 cents per page printed.

The 49X costs about 12 cents per page printed.

Why would anyone buy the 49A cartridge and pay nearly 3X as much per page of print?

Where I work, I made sure our supply folks order ONLY the 49X cartridges.

If you order online, make sure you are getting the 49X.

DON’T let anyone switch it for the lowly 49A.

IMHO, the 49A should not even exist.
